Partners In Hope Seminars

Our seminars take place in Mexico City. From the time they land at the airport, participants are engaged by life in Mexico. We walk side-by-side with the people of Mexico. We live among the urban poor, experience communities where God is active through Protestants and Catholics alike, and see first-hand the work of transformation through organizations that meet real needs such as nutrition, violence prevention, micro finance, daycare and medical care. Participants experience lectures and discussions with experts in their fields. We spend time reflecting on our experiences and thinking about how it will influence the way we live our lives.

The days are intense, filled with stimuli that draw upon each of our senses and the evenings are filled with reflection and community development.

CHURCHES:
Our seminars are ideal for churches that long to deepen discipleship among their congregation, to move their people to serve in their local community, and to live integrated lives of faith.

While the seminar experience alone is significant, we find it most valuable when integrated into the life of a church.

We work with your leadership before and after the seminar to fully utilize it in transforming your congregation or group.

STUDENT GROUPS:
Since the inception of PiH, we have worked with university students. In fact, we design seminars specifically for student groups that form an ideal complement to their education. While students are exposed to the realities of the world and are challenged through deep reflection and discussions while in Mexico, they return home to their universities with a new lens for viewing the world, a renewed call to live out their faith, and a foundation for making decisions.

Many students have changed their majors and their career paths after hearing God’s call to serve during the seminar. The life stories of past seminar participants attest to the fact that the trip helped move them along their journey of discipleship, committed to working with a spirit of compassion and justice.

LENGTH:
Seminars range in length from 5-10 days, determined by your group’s availability. Each seminar is unique and designed to serve the needs of your group. From the beginning, we work with you to develop a program that is integrated with your goals and purposes.

SIZE:
A group of 8 to12 is ideal, though we can accommodate groups of any size.

COST:
Since each seminar is unique, please contact us directly to discuss costing. We strive to make our seminars as fairly priced as possible, and have multiple options for housing, meals and program content.

TIME OF YEAR:
We offer seminars throughout the year. We are currently scheduling trips for 2008.
